Ryan Phillips is the founder and principal attorney of the Law Office of T. Ryan Phillips, LLC.  He practices primarily in the areas of criminal defense, appellate litigation, family law & divorce, healthcare documents, and small business & nonprofit representation.

Ryan attended the College of Charleston, where he was active in student government and served on the College's Honor Board.  He graduated from the College in 2006, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science.

After college, Ryan immediately entered law school at the Charleston School of Law.  In law school, Ryan continued to be active, serving in a variety of leadership positions.  He was Associate Editor-in-Chief of the Charleston Law Review, a Teaching Fellow for first-year legal writing students, and a Vice Chair of the Honor Council.  Ryan was also a member of the law school's Moot Court Board, where he placed as a quarterfinalist in a national moot court competition at the University of North Carolina.

While in law school, Ryan served as a summer clerk to the Hon. Kaye G. Hearn, then-Chief Judge of the South Carolina Court of Appeals (now Associate Justice of the South Carolina Supreme Court).  Ryan also interned during the Spring 2008 semester with the Hon. David C. Norton of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina.  And in the summer of 2007, Ryan worked as a summer associate for a small boutique firm in Columbia specializing in capital appellate defense.

He graduated from law school in 2009, earning his Juris Doctor, cum laude.
